Reading based accountancy firm celebrates best month ever

Reading based accountants and business advisers, taylorcocks, has reported record billing for July 2009.

This is further good news for the South of England practice, who recently made it on to the UK’s Top 100 Accountancy Firms list, compiled by Accountancy Age, the leading professional magazine for the sector.

Amidst reports of doom and gloom from struggling Reading businesses, taylorcocks has gone from strength to strength, enjoying a six fold growth, since their Reading office opened in 2007.

The rise of taylorcocks is even more impressive when compared to many of the UK’s leading accountancy firms, who are feeling the bite of the recession. In contrast, taylorcocks continues to buck the trend with one of the highest growth percentages of any UK accountancy firm in 2009.

Client relationship manager, Richard Jones, who heads up the Reading office, said: “taylorcocks’ growth is based on a sound business model which has placed us in an incredibly strong position. There’s no secret to this, it’s all about providing a top quality service and looking after clients.

“We are of course mindful of the current economic situation and are always looking out for new business. It helps that we receive a consistently high level of referrals, which is testament to the good work we do here at taylorcocks.”

One of taylorcocks’ Aldermaston based clients, Torbed Services, is a specialist provider of equipment for the food processing industry. Torbed’s managing director Paul Gamble said: “It is refreshing to work with such a forward thinking accountancy firm such as taylorcocks. Their sound business and financial advice has been invaluable to the business and I can always count on them for a friendly and prompt service. Their support will be much needed during the next few years as the business goes through a period of significant change and diversification.”

taylorcocks was set up in 1996 by managing director Ian Cocks and has grown organically during the past thirteen years, earning the company a reputation as one of the country’s fast track rising stars.

Ian Cocks said: “Despite the current recession, taylorcocks has secured over 100 new clients since the start of the year and is enjoying one of its most successful periods of growth since it was established in 1996.

“Businesses, now more than ever, are relying on their accountants to identify where cost savings can be made. The taylorcocks team understand this and have the expertise to not only deliver, but also well exceed clients’ expectations. This will be key in helping taylorcocks achieve its goal of becoming a top 10 accountancy firm in the next 10 years.”
