Taylorcocks scoops Sage Accountant Partner of the Year Award

Portsmouth based accountancy firm and business advisers, taylorcocks, has won the prestigious ‘Business Development Accountant Partner of the Year Award 2010’.

The award was presented to taylorcocks at Sage’s first ever Accountant Awards held recently at the British Museum in London. It is the latest in a growing list of accolades for the company, who were recently recognised by Accountancy Age as one of the UK’s fastest growing accountancy firms.

On presenting the award to taylorcocks, Jayne Archbold, Managing Director, Sage Accountants Division, said: “We’re committed to providing our 14,000 accountant customers with the knowledge and support that they need for their business and I’m delighted to present this award to taylorcocks. Accountants are really important to British Industry and it’s great to see them doing so well this year.

“This award goes to a practice that has grown their revenue from the resale of Sage solutions by the largest margin when compared to the same period a year earlier. They spent time developing a website dedicated to promoting Sage and they’ve completed further training and accreditation and their reselling is up year on year.”

The Sage Accountants awards are designed to celebrate and recognise the achievements of accountants in practice and the contribution they make to UK businesses.

The awards were presented at Sage’s Annual Connect Conference for accountants and were hosted by Nick Hewer from BBC TV’s The Apprentice and Jane Archbold, Managing Director of Sage Accountants' Division. Judged by a panel of independent industry experts and Sage senior management, the awards consist of 12 catagories, designed to enable participation by individuals and practices of all sizes.

On receiving the award, client relationship director and taylorcocks partner, Ian Hewitt, said: “This year we have maintained our focus and aligned ourselves to the difficult market conditions, which has enabled us to continue to grow. For us to be named as the Sage Accountant Partner of the Year is an exceptional achievement and one which we are incredibly proud of.”
